چکیده
We study neutrino and antineutrino emission from the direct Urca process in neutron-star matter presence of strong magnetic fields. calculate emissivity process, whereby a neutron converts to proton, an electron antineutrino, or proton-electron pair neutron-neutrino pair. solve exact wave functions for protons electrons states described with Landau levels. find that can satisfy kinematic constraints even density regions where this could not normally occur absence field.

Direct Urca Process in a Neutron Star Mantle
We show that the direct Urca process of neutrino emission is allowed in two possible phases of nonspherical nuclei (inverse cylinders and inverse spheres) in the mantle of a neutron star near the crust-core interface. The process is open because neutrons and protons move in a periodic potential created by inhomogeneous nuclear structures. In this way the nucleons acquire large quasimomenta need...
متن کاملStrongly magnetized strange baryonic matter in neutron star
We investigate the strongly magnetized strange baryonic matter in a relativistic mean- eld theory. We rst take into account the hidden strange mesons and the eld-dependent meson-baryon coupling constants. In low-density region the strongly magnetized neutron star (NS) matter is nearly iso-symmetric. The equation of state (EOS) therefore becomes softer than that of the normal NS matter. Becaus...
متن کاملNeutrino emission via the plasma process in a magnetized plasma
The decay of electromagnetic oscillations in a plasma into neutrinos is of interest as a stellar energy loss mechanism [1,2]. The presence of a plasma allows the refractive index to be less than unity, which is necessary for the decay of a photon into a νν̄ pair. The resulting “plasma process” for neutrino emission, has been studied in the presence of an unmagnetized plasma [2–5]. There were als...
متن کاملNeutrino Emission from Dense Matter, and Neutron Star Thermal Evolution
A brief review is given of neutrino emission processes in dense matter, with particular emphasis on recent developments. These include direct Urca processes for nucleons and hyperons, which can give rise to rapid energy loss from the stellar core without exotic matter, and the effect of band structure on neutrino bremsstrahlung from electrons in the crust, which results in much lower energy los...
متن کاملDirect Urca process in strong magnetic fields and neutron star cooling
The effect of the magnetic field on the energy loss rate in the direct Urca reactions is studied. The general expression for the neutrino emissivity at arbitrary magnetic field B is derived. The main emphasis is laid on a case, in which the field is not superstrong, and charged reacting particles (e and p) populate many Landau levels. The magnetic field keeps the process operative if ∆k/kFn . N...
